Chico's Success
Story |

When we decided we wanted a dog in Septemeber we decided we
wanted a yorkie puppy. We looked around and decided that maybe
it would be better to adopt a puppy that NEEDED us. We became
frequent visitors of outr local humane society and I began
scouring petfinder for the perfect puppy. Still, we had a hard
time finding ANY small dogs, especially small puppies. Then, I
saw it. It was a picture of the cutest little black dog in the
world. All dremas of a puppy disappeared. WE WANTED CHICO! He
was three years old and far from being a puppy, but one look
at him and we knew he was our perfect match. |

We went through the adoption paperwork and I was really happy
to have so much communication with his foster mom, Bonnie.
Bonnie and Dale were friendly and very happy to answer our
questions. Then...we waited. There were MANY others who wanted
Chico too, so all we could do was hope for the best. I'll
never forget when Bonnie called to tell me the news...Chico
was ours!!!!
We just don't know what we would do without our Chico! When we
got Chico in September,he was very scared . He was still sore
from being neutered and was a little confused about his new
surroundings. He took a few days to warm up to us, but now we
can't imagine life without him! Chico begs on his hind legs
for treats, plays fetch ENDLESSLY, and loves playing the
biting game with us. He is a TERRIFIC watch dog, and will lay
in your lap for hours if you'll let him. (we do :) )He is the
most terrific dog we have ever had. He is such a blessing.
There is nothing better after a hard day at work than to
snuggle with a furry friend. Chico is the dog we dreamed of, I
am SO GLAD that we were chosen to be his mom and dad.
