We adopted Harriett on St.
Patrick's day in 2006. She was overweight, shaggy, and we were told
she had a heart condition, but I had never in my life met such a
sweet animal. Harry had been in foster care for so long, you offered
to let us take her home for free! Of course, we made a donation to
your cause on her behalf and took her right home with us. At her
first vet appointment, we learned that Harry had a level 4 heart
murmur and were told she could pass away at any time, and probably
wouldn't live longer than 6 months. Two and a half years later Harry
is still strong and couldn't be happier! She loves loves loves to
eat and will beg anyone for a good pet. Everyone who comes in
contact with Harry who met her when we first brought her home says
that she doesn't even resemble the dog she was back in March of '06,
and despite all odds her vet is convinced that her heart murmur has
actually improved! Harry is such an important member of our family
and we couldn't be more thrilled that she picked us to be her new
family. Thank you Animal House Rescue!
