Six months ago we went to pick up dog food for our boys at home, a 6
month old weimaraner "DOC" and a 2 year old furball named "BADGER".
As we pulled into the very crowded parking lot, my husband, Bryan,
saw this OLD weimaraner in a crate, and there were other k9's being
loaded in cars to leave, I jumped out of the truck and ran to the
crate and that's where this story really begins.

There he was, an old boy missing all of the toes on his little foot,
skinny and just plain sad. We asked the wonderful lady from the
rescue if she could please bring him by our house to meet our boys.
Well Linda F., as tired as she was from being out in the hot sun all
day trying to find FOREVER homes for the unwanted and in NEED, drove
to our home and introduced the boys and Zeke. Well after a few
growls and lots of rough housing the boys made quick friends.
This boy has completed our family!!! I said to my husband and Linda
a few days later how HAPPY I would be if he was with us if even for
a few months (his age). Well I have decided he better last a long
time as he has stolen all of our hearts. I am soooo thankful to AHR
for saving this boy from the KILL SHELTER. And why he was ever there
in the first place I will never know. He is perfectly happy crawled
up on the couch and at bed time he takes his place on my side of the
bed on my pillow. He never asks for anything. And when offered a
treat he is as gentle as a lamb. He is 100% house broken and never
barks. Why did someone throw him away like garbage???? We will never
know.
Old Dogs are wonderful.. They are what They are.
Thank You AHR for letting us be this boys FOREVER Home.
