Animal House Rescue, Inc. was founded in April of 2002 by Jody and Nancy. They met in 2000 when they were both volunteers at the Fulton County Humane Society. When the Humane Society decided it would no longer accept animals, they could not simply sit back and do nothing. Jody and Nancy were the ones who would get the pictures of dogs and cats on euthanasia lists all across Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania. So, that's when they decided to branch out and form Animal House Rescue.

Animal House Rescue is a non profit rescue organization with 501c3 status. They rescue dogs and cats from kill shelters, have them spayed or neutered, get them up to date on their vaccinations and place them into forever homes.

Animal House Rescue, Inc. currently has no shelter and runs strictly out of foster homes. They do travel every weekend to adoption events, please see the Events page to find out where they will be next!! Application, screening and adoption fees apply to all dogs and cats. You can learn more about the adoption process and fees on the Adoption page.

Mission Statement

The purpose of Animal House Rescue, Inc. is to rescue as many unwanted pets as we possibly can, assess their placement ability, and to place them into good, permanent homes making the best possible match; to provide care and training information on each pet we place. It is our policy that placeable pets will not be euthanized due to lack of homes. Instead, we will keep the pet in our program as long as we deem necessary to find a suitable home. Pets that are considered unplaceable due to aggression, advanced age, serious illness or other major problems will be humanely euthanized.
